Assisting You

Once your family and friends have been instructed by our staff in how to help assist you out of bed, out of a wheelchair or to walk, they should keep in mind the following safety points:

• Always lock brakes on the wheelchair.
• When walking, be aware of wet floor signs and other obstacles.
• Always check with the nursing desk prior to taking a walk. When leaving your room, inform the nursing unit where you are going. Always stay on hospital grounds.
